Version History
v0.4.0
Global Lens ExpansionCurrentGlobal philosophical expansion from 33 to 48 lenses spanning 8 cultural traditions: East Asian, South Asian, Greco-Roman, Western Modern, Islamic, African, Western Institutional, and Entertainment & Sports.
Features
Capabilities
claude-opus-4-5-20250514Known Limitations
- •Non-Western philosophical lenses rely on translated primary texts — nuance may be lost in translation
- •Some traditions (e.g., Maat, Ubuntu) have limited surviving primary texts; analysis draws on scholarly reconstruction
- •Cross-cultural lens application is inherently interpretive — a Confucian reading of a Western event is an analytical exercise, not a claim of cultural authority
- •Anachronism risk varies by lens — historical frameworks applied to modern events are explicitly flagged
- •Entertainment and sports lenses use satirical personas for accessibility — analysis content is substantive despite playful framing
Breaking Changes
- !LensConfig interface extended with 6 cultural tradition metadata fields (cultural_tradition, sub_tradition, era, geographic_origin, anachronism_risk, source_confidence)
- !LensMetadata interface extended with 4 cultural tradition display fields
- !LENS_CLUSTERS reorganized from 7 functional clusters to 8 tradition-based clusters
- !Intake agent prompt completely redesigned — scoring rubric replaces hardcoded category tables
v0.3.1
Arena & StageMassive expansion with 16 new lenses for entertainment, sports, and psychological/philosophical analysis. Over-the-top personas bring celebrity drama, sports hot takes, Jungian archetypes, Nietzschean power analysis, and Pavlovian conditioning mechanics.
Features
Capabilities
claude-opus-4-5-20250514Known Limitations
- •Entertainment/sports lenses reflect domain stereotypes for analytical color, not endorsement
- •Celebrity and sports events have limited 'ground truth' - analysis is inherently interpretive
- •Hot take and tabloid personas are satirical framing devices for accessible analysis
- •Fan culture analysis may not capture all fandom dynamics
- •Sports gambling lens is analytical only - not betting advice
v0.3.0
CausalityRevolutionary causal graph analysis with deep actor discovery, root cause tracing, and interactive knowledge visualization.
Features
Capabilities
claude-opus-4-5-20250514Known Limitations
- •Causal attribution is inherently interpretive — graphs represent analysis, not ground truth
- •Actor discovery limited by available public information and source accessibility
- •Lobbying data availability varies significantly by jurisdiction
- •Benefit analysis may miss non-obvious winners and losers
- •Deep locality research depends on source availability in local languages
- •Historical causality is easier to trace than ongoing events
- •AI analysis can miss nuance, misinterpret context, or reflect training biases
Breaking Changes
- !FullAnalysis type now includes optional causal_graph, enhanced_actors, and locality_context fields
v0.2.0
Deep DiveAdded deep analysis capabilities with expandable lens insights, full research transparency, and rich data visualization.
Features
Capabilities
claude-opus-4-5-20250101Known Limitations
- •AI analysis can miss nuance, misinterpret context, or reflect training biases
- •Multi-lingual research depends on available sources — some perspectives may be underrepresented
- •Think tank lenses reflect general institutional positions, not official statements
- •The synthesis is itself a perspective — reasonable people can disagree
- •Historical parallels are suggestive, not predictive
- •Probability assessments for futures are qualitative, not quantitative
v0.1.0
FoundationInitial release with core multi-lens analysis pipeline, basic synthesis, and fact-checking.
Features
Capabilities
claude-opus-4-5-20250101Known Limitations
- •English-only research sources
- •Limited to 5 lenses
- •No deep dive analysis available
- •No source transparency beyond fact-check status
- •No historical parallels or future scenarios
Our Transparency Principles
Version Tagging
Every analysis is tagged with the engine version that produced it. You can always see what capabilities were available when your analysis was generated.
Capability Disclosure
We list exactly which lenses, languages, and models each version supports. No hidden capabilities or undocumented features.
Limitation Honesty
Every version lists its known limitations. We don't hide our weaknesses — we document them so you can evaluate analyses appropriately.
Re-Analysis Option
When significant improvements ship, you can request re-analysis of older events with the new engine version to get deeper insights.
